Darnais an upcoming Philippine superhero television series directed by Chito S. Roño, Avel Sunpongco and Benedict Mique for ABS-CBN, based on the comic book character of the same name. Jane De Leon stars as Darna / Narda Cutodio. It will be replacing the historic-longest Philippine tv series Ang Probinsyano on primetime. The series will premiere on Kapamilya Channel's Primetime Bida evening block, A2Z, TV5's Todo Max Primetime Singko block, and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on August 15, 2022, succeeding the historic 7 year run of FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.[3] The series was announced on December 4, 2020 after the indefinite suspension of Star Cinema's Darna movie project in August 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines. It is the biggest project of ABS-CBN for 2022
